Courtney Brouwer and Elliott Kramer, sophomores from Galt FFA, took center stage at the 2025 California FFA State Leadership Conference with a powerful piano and violin performance that earned them the top spot in the FFA State Talent Show. The duo performed Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything,” blending classical instrumentation with emotional vocals to wow the crowd and judges alike.

Honoring Charles Parker’s 45 Years of Service

After more than four decades of dedicated service to California FFA, Charles Parker is retiring from his role as State FFA Advisor and Program Manager for Agricultural Education at the California Department of Education. His retirement marks the close of a remarkable chapter—one defined by a career that has impacted thousands of students, educators, and agricultural communities across the state.

Reflecting on the Journey: 2024–2025 State Officer Retiring Addresses

The 2024–2025 California FFA State Officer Team spent the past year traveling the state, visiting chapters, advocating for agricultural education, and helping students grow as leaders. Their service has made a lasting impact on thousands of members, and during the State Leadership Conference, each officer had the opportunity to share their retiring address—a personal reflection on the journey, lessons learned, and gratitude for those who helped along the way.

Beginning in the early 20th century in California, agricultural education has a long tradition of preparing students for rigorous, satisfying careers both within and outside of the industry. As a school-based learning program, agricultural education operates as a unit within the California Department of Education and is written into the state’s legislative education code.
