Almond Leadership Program

Four years ago, Almond Board of California’s Almond Leadership Program
began raising funds for the California FFA Foundation to provide scholarships
for graduating FFA students planning to pursue a degree in agriculture. Since
2016, nearly $100,000 has been raised through this collaboration!
In
an ongoing effort to support the California FFA Foundation, the 2019 Almond Leadership Program class is
dedicated to contributing to this effort and plans to hit and exceed their set
goal of $20,000. One tactic for
reaching this goal is through the annual silent auction at The Almond
Conference. The 2019 Almond Conference is December 10-12, in Sacramento at Cal
Expo. The silent auction is held over the course of two days with different
silent auction items on Wednesday, Dec. 11 and Thursday, Dec. 12. Feel free to
reach out to Rebecca Bailey at rbailey@almondboard.com to donate an item for
the silent auction. Or take action now by making a monetary donation by clicking
here or the donate button below.

Help California FFA Chapters Impacted by Fires
Many of you have reached out about helping FFA chapters and individual members impacted by the fires throughout California. As has been reported, the situation is devastating. There is significant, catastrophic damage.
The California FFA Foundation, as well as other chapters from throughout the state are looking to provide whatever assistance we can to help. We've asked chapters to let us know how we can aid in reestablishing programs, and projects. We can help provide FFA jackets for members who may have lost them, chapter paraphernalia, program and project related equipment, supplies, etc. If you are interested in donating to the relief efforts, please click the donate button. Funds will be distributed specifically to chapters impacted by the fires. If you are interested in donating in other ways, please contact Katie Otto at kotto@californiaffa.org. Thank you.

Why Give?
The world’s population continues to grow, and the agriculture industry needs more people who can help produce food, fuel and fiber in ways that are faster, smarter and more sustainable than ever before.
By giving to the California FFA Foundation, you are helping smart, talented and determined young people to become the leaders we need for tomorrow — leaders who will develop the new strategies and technologies that will ensure a safe, abundant and affordable food supply for us all.
