Almond Leadership Program

fundraising ideas for schools, churches, and youth sports teamsFive years ago, Almond Board of California (ABC), through the Almond Leadership Program, began raising funds for the California FFA Foundation to help ensure scholarships were available for graduating seniors who were pursuing agriculture as their college major. Between 2011 and 2015, nearly $20,000 was raised through the silent auction as part of The Almond Conference. In 2016, the Almond Leadership Program participants were challenged to raise $15,000. With the help of nearly 50 companies and individuals who donated items and made online bids, more than $27,000 was raised!

The class of the 2017 ABC Almond Leadership Program participants are dedicated leaving their mark and supporting the future leaders of the California ag industry. With 18 individuals representing all facets of the industry in this year’s class, the group is dedicated to raising $25,000 by December 8, 2017!

To help make this goal a reality, in addition to the silent auction at The Almond Conference, the Almond Leadership Program will be conducting a live auction during the annual Gala Dinner, Dec. 7. Feel free to reach out to Jenny Nicolau at to donate an item for the silent or live auction. Or take action now by making a monetary donation by clicking here or the donate button below. Monetary donations accepted between April 24 and December 8, 2017.

Help California FFA Chapters Impacted by Fires

Many of you have reached out about helping FFA chapters and individual members impacted by the fires throughout California. As has been reported, the situation is devastating. There is significant, catastrophic damage.

The California FFA Foundation, as well as other chapters from throughout the state are looking to provide whatever assistance we can to help. We've asked chapters to let us know how we can aid in reestablishing programs, and projects. We can help provide FFA jackets for members who may have lost them, chapter paraphernalia, program and project related equipment, supplies, etc. If you are interested in donating to the relief efforts, please click the donate button. Funds will be distributed specifically to chapters impacted by the fires.  If you are interested in donating in other ways, please contact Katie Otto at Thank you.

Mission and Goals
The mission of the California FFA Foundation is to promote, aid, and assist, financially or otherwise, California FFA to ensure the success of Agricultural Education by preparing tomorrow's agricultural leaders, today.

Our Goal is to provide individuals, businesses, foundations and others the opportunity to invest in the premier secondary Agricultural Education leadership development program in California: FFA. The Foundation provides award recognition for student projects, competitive team events, leadership development events, as well as leadership training conferences.

Why Give?
The world’s population continues to grow, and the agriculture industry needs more people who can help produce food, fuel and fiber in ways that are faster, smarter and more sustainable than ever before.

By giving to the California FFA Foundation, you are helping smart, talented and determined young people to become the leaders we need for tomorrow — leaders who will develop the new strategies and technologies that will ensure a safe, abundant and affordable food supply for us all.
