TURLOCK FFA: Giving Back
Posted: 1/1/2019 9:18 PM | Author: Alyce Silva

During the 2017-18 school year, Turlock FFA gave back to the homeless community by creating and donating care packages. The 2017 fall Officer Team came up with this idea to fulfill the “Living to Do” portion of the FFA motto. They began with a goal of 1,000 care packages and through the help of student and local business donations, this goal was fulfilled. Each package included basic supplies, such as socks, water, snacks, and various hygiene products. During our trip to the 90th California State FFA Convention, we distributed nearly 1,000 of these care packages to the homeless population on Skid Row. This experience was eye-opening and humbling for our chapter.
