Web Development Award

Overview      
The Web Site Development Award is to recognize those FFA Chapters that develop and maintain an effective chapter web site. This website should consist of Program Information, an AET Strategic Plan/POA, and a digital "Year in Review" Component. Please see scorecard for details.

How to Apply      
All Chapters who submit an application will have their web site evaluated by an impartial panel. This panel will score the Web Site and submit their scores to the Assistant State FFA Advisor.

Based on the score, The top chapters will then be invited to participate in an oral presentation to occur during the State FFA Leadership Conference. To be considered for the State award, the chapter must take part in the oral presentation.

Contest Guidelines      
Application Details:
  1. Each Chapter may submit one entry. Entries must be created through the efforts of the current members of the chapter.
  2. The Web Site must be available for viewing on the Internet for judging on February 1 and be up-to-date with current information.
  3. Any photographs, text, trademarks, or names that are used on the site must be supported by proper documentaion and approvals.
  4. Digital "Year in Review" can be developed for the last complete school year.
  5. Strategic Plan/POA should be completed for the current school year. Consideration will be given for activities planned, but not yet conducted.

Oral Presentation:

  1. To be eligible for the State Award, the chapter must have no more than two current members take part in the oral presentation.
  2. The oral presentation will be an explanation of the web site and its content.
  3. The chapter participants will be responsible for all equipment needed as part of the oral presentation. Internet access will not be provided.
  4. Participants will be allowed no more than five minutes to set-up for the presentation and no more than five minutes to remove all equipment from the room following the presentation.
  5. The oral presentation will be limited to no more than ten minutes.
  6. No assistance will be allowed by any individual other than the two chapter members taking part in the oral presentation.
