Almond Leadership Program

fundraising ideas for schools, churches, and youth sports teamsSeven years ago, Almond Board of California (ABC), through the Almond Leadership Program, began raising funds for the California FFA Foundation to help ensure scholarships were available for graduating seniors who were pursuing agriculture as their college major. Between 2011 and 2015, nearly $20,000 was raised through the silent auction as part of The Almond Conference. In 2016, the Almond Leadership Program participants were challenged to raise $15,000. With the help of nearly 50 companies and individuals who donated items and made online bids, more than $27,000 was raised! In 2017 that number grew to just over $30,000!!

The class of the 2018 ABC Almond Leadership Program participants are dedicated leaving their mark and supporting the future leaders of the California ag industry. With 17 individuals representing all facets of the industry in this year’s class, the group is dedicated to raising $20,000 by December 6, 2018!

To help make this goal a reality, in addition to the silent auction at The Almond Conference, the Almond Leadership Program will be conducting a live auction during the annual Gala Dinner, Dec. 6. Feel free to reach out to Rebecca Bailey at rbailey@almondboard.com to donate an item for the silent or live auction. Or take action now by making a monetary donation by clicking here or the donate button below. Monetary donations accepted between April 24 and December 6, 2018.
