State Officer Nominating Committee

The State Officer Candidate Nominating Committee is truly one of the most prestigious and influential standing committees of the California FFA Association. Twelve people are selected annually (2 per region) from the six regions to work with the Past State President/Nominating Committee Chair to evaluate and consider the state officer candidates. After considering the candidates the committee develops and recommends their committee report, which outlines a slate of twelve students for State Office (2 people per office).
 
State Officer Nominating Committee members should possess the following characteristics:

  • Honest
  • Confidential
  • Trustworthy
  • Mature
  • Unwavering Morals and Values
  • Passion for the Success of CA FFA

 

Eligibility

To be selected as a representative on the nominating committee a student must:
 

  1. Be an affiliated FFA member with a chapter in good standing with the state association.
  2. Hold the Chapter FFA Degree at the time of the leadership conference where he/she is to serve.
  3. Be a junior or senior in high school.
