FFA has an award to match almost any member’s unique talents and interests. Find a program that interests you, set a goal, and work hard to achieve it. You’ll gain the skills and confidence you need to succeed in all aspects of life.
 

Agriscience Fair

The National FFA Agriscience Fair is a competition for FFA members who are interested in the science and technology of agriculture. It is held each year, during the National FFA Convention. Students can compete in the national agriscience fair in one of five categories: Botany, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Zoology, Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Food Science.
 
Students compete in California at the California State FFA Conference held annually in April. The state winners in each catgeory qualify to compete at the National FFA Agriscience Fair.

Agriscience Teacher of the Year

The National FFA Agriscience Teacher of the Year award recognizes teachers who have inspired and enlightens his or her students through engaging and interactive lessons in the science of agriculture.

American Star Awards

The American Star Awards represent the best of the best among thousands of American FFA Degree recipients. Finalists for the award have mastered skills in production, finance, management and/or research.

 
 

Hall of Chapters Award

The California Hall of Chapter Award is held annually at the California State FFA Leadership Conference. Chapters can submit an application and develop a booth for the career show. The booth that best portrays California Agriculture and Agriculture Education is anounced as the state winner and has the opportunity to represent California at the National FFA Convention.

Honorary Awards

The California FFA Association relies on the support of exceptional teachers, individuals and companies to provide life-changing experiences for its members. Each year, at the California State FFA Leadership Conference, we honor those who have made outstanding contributions to FFA with the Distinguished Service Citation or Honorary State FFA Degree.
 

National Chapter

The National Chapter Award program recognizes FFA chapters that successfully complete an annual Program of Activities (PoA) which includes a series of activities designed to encourage its members to grow as individuals, to work as part of a team, and to serve others.
 

Proficiencies

The Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through their SAEs, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Students can compete for awards in 54 areas covering everything from Agricultural Communications to Wildlife Management.  Award areas may have two categories, placement and entrepreneurship.

Star Administrator, Advisor, & Counselor

The Star Administrator, Advisor, & Counselor award programs are designed to recognize administrators, advisors & counselors who go beyond the call of duty at the local, sectional, regional, and state level to serve the interest of their local FFA chapter.

Star Reporter Award

The State Star Reporter award program recognizes California FFA Chapter Reporters who demonstrate commitment to local program publicity. The award is designed to recognize chapter reporters who go above and beyond in the area of journalism, including print media, radio broadcast, television broadcast, recruitment programs etc.

State Star Farmer Awards

The State Star Farmer Awards represent the best of the best among the State FFA Degree recipients. Finalists for the award have mastered skills in production, finance, management and/or research.

Superior Chapter Award

The purpose of the State Superior chapter application is to recognize chapters who go above and beyond to provide a wide-range of leadership opportunities, activitities, and events for their community, school, and members.
 

Website Development

The Web Site Development Award is to recognize those FFA Chapters that develop and maintain an effective chapter web site.
