Star Star Farmer Award Finalists

Each of the 6 regions in the California FFA Association can submit a Regional Winner in each of the four categories. The Regional Winners are considered the State Finalist in Star Award Program.

The 6 State Finalists in each area submit their final Star Application to the California State FFA Association along with their California FFA Official Recordbooks. The Application and Recordbooks are evaluated and scored in the Spring during the State Proficiency Judging Schedule. The finalists are also contacted by the California State FFA Officer team to schedule an on site interview and project visit. The combined interview score, recordbook score, and application score is used to determine the State Star in each of the four areas.

Eligibility

Outlined in the California FFA Association Constitution

Section D. State FFA Degree:  Article 13

There shall be four annual awards for the State FFA Degree recipients known as the California Star Farmer, California Star in Agribusiness, California Star in Agricultural Placement, and the California Star in Agriscience.
