Travel
Official Dress and Travel
As FFA members, we have the opportunity to impact many people who may or may not be familiar with the organization: Community residents, businessmen and women, FFA sponsors, guests, parents, etc. Therefore, first impressions are crucial, and that involves the way we dress.
ALL FFA members are required to wear official dress while participating in official activities. California FFA members are expected to wear Official FFA Dress while traveling via air to National FFA Convention.
The California Association adopted a bylaw that states “California FFA members should abide by National FFA uniform Guidelines when competing or participating in National FFA Events”. Members are expected to wear off-black nylons during the National FFA Convention. Neutral nylons may be worn during the Washington DC trip.

National Convention/Entertainment Registration (2019)
Convention registration will be made by the chapter directly through National FFA. Early bird registration will be open from September 10, 2019 6:00pm EDT through October 8, 2019. Standard registration will be open after October 8, 2019 to Convention.
Registration includes full entry into the National FFA Expo and FFA shopping mall during operating hours, one opening session ticket (selected during registration), access to all general sessions (including the American Degree Ceremony), student and teacher workshops and the Blue Room. Convention related activity tickets (i.e. concert, rodeo, dance, hypnotist, etc.) can be made on the National Convention website as well beginning in September. All concert and rodeo tickets will be sold via Ticketmaster beginning in September as well as rodeo shuttle tickets. Parking passes for all vehicles will be sold directly by garages and lots with special National FFA rates.
Registering for Convention and convention-related activities requires an active teacher/instructor MyFFA account. As in past years, members, parents, chaperones, supporters, etc. cannot register themselves for convention in advance. They must work with an agriculture teacher that has an active MyFFA online account.
California FFA Trip - National Convention registration will be handed out with California FFA trip packet when you arrive. All chapters on the California trip are utilizing the National Convention housing block.
